About SidneySidney Apfelbaum was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar on April 11, 1949, following his graduation from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. His law school graduation was delayed by his four and a half years of active combat military service with the 69th Infantry Division during World War II. Sidney worked tirelessly for many years developing his law practice and was eventually joined by two of his sons. When Michael M. Apfelbaum, Sidney’s youngest son, joined the family business in 1985, the firm became known as Apfelbaum, Apfelbaum & Apfelbaum and had its office located at 43 South Fifth Street in Sunbury, Pennsylvania.
Following the death of his son, Michael M. Apfelbaum, and the dissolution of Apfelbaum, Apfelbaum & Apfelbaum at the end of 2015, Sidney became Of Counsel to Apfelbaum Kula, P.C. to continue practicing law with his granddaughter, Brianna Apfelbaum Kula ("Brie") and grandson-in-law, Michael J. Kula ("Mike"). He joined them in preserving the Apfelbaum family legal practice. Brie and Mike treasure the wisdom and legal knowledge bestowed upon them by their grandfather and mentor. Sidney passed away in August 2016 and they will strive to continue his legacy for future generations. |
